The Southwest Art Studio is home to the Eagle artists.
We are part of Southwest Miami Senior High School in Miami-Dade County Florida.
Here in the Art Studio, freedom of expression is a way of life. We encourage young artists to learn about and explore their creative side.
In the Art Studio students learn to create in their own personal manner. All lessons are carefully constructed to teach students about art and to help discover the artist within.
The Old Studio
This is the original Southwest Art Studio building. It has been replaced by a new more modern building
Drawing and Painting
Drawing and Painting are part of every day life for an art studio artist.
Projects
Students are challenged with stimulating projects.
Every young artist can meet the challenges they present in his/her own unique way.
Aesthetics
Students study art history, aesthetics, color theory, art materials and techniques.
Creativity
Young artists are encouraged to explore their interests and to set personal goals.
